Bowman Backyard is a listening room under the stars, created for the love of songs, stories, and the people who write them.
For 10 years, we’ve been welcoming independent artists into our backyard and bringing music lovers together for intimate evenings of live music. What began as a simple backyard gathering has grown into something incredibly special. Over the years, Bowman Backyard has hosted more than 100 shows, while staying true to the reason we started—supporting independent music and the people who create it.
Our focus has always been on the song and the songwriter. We feature independent artists rooted in Americana, country, folk, and soft rock, giving them a space where their lyrics can be heard, their stories can be told, and the audience truly listens.
Supporting independent artists is at the heart of everything we do. 100% of every ticket sold goes directly to the performing artist. For us, it isn’t about making money from live music—it’s about helping artists continue doing what they love and giving audiences the opportunity to discover incredible music in a truly personal setting.
A note from the first ten years
You may not recognize the names of all of our performers, but when you hear them you will wonder why they are not “big stars.” We hope they all will be some day, but for now, we’re just happy they come play great shows in our backyard and we have the opportunity to support them.
